A repeatable method to keep physical and logical diagrams aligned and useful for verification and troubleshooting.
Environment / assumptions
- IPs anonymized (e.g.,
10.0.x.0/30,fd00:xxxx::/64) - Simulated environment for demonstration (not production)
Procedure
- Created a physical diagram showing device links and port labels.
- Created a logical diagram showing subnets/VLANs and routing relationships.
- Added a legend for naming conventions (devices, VLAN IDs, areas/AS).
- Updated both diagrams whenever a link, VLAN, or routing change was made.

- List the outputs that prove success.
- Include command outputs (anonymized) when possible.
